Qualification for en route IFR flights - EIR

Enroute Instrument Rating (EIR) with PPL(A) license or CPL(A), allows you to fly en route segment according to IFR in IMC conditions. Departure and arrival to your destination airfield is than made according to VFR rules.

Ideal solution as a supplement to your PPL(A) qualification

With this qualification you can fly over the area where the weather does not permit you to carry out a flight under VFR.

The typical example when to use this qualification is departure from smaller airfield under VFR, where the IFR departure would not be possible and than transition to IFR flight  with an arrival to another smaller airfield, where the weather condition allows you to fly under VFR. The en route section is then flown, as if you had a full qualification IFR.
